    Cattleman’s Tejano Explosion
Description: Top Tejano music entertainers, dancing, food, carnival and video games and lots of fun for everyone. The gated event offers park-like seating and tabletop eating stations for the enjoyment of its vast array of finger-licking delicacies.

Fiesta SA: Official Opening Ceremony
    SA Events Calendar
Description: The Official Opening Ceremony takes place in front of the historic Alamo on opening day of the 10-day Fiesta San Antonio celebration. There is a welcome talk by the president of the Fiesta SA Commission, other officials, musical entertainment, and lemonade is offered by the DRT, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Fiesta SA: Randolph Art League Exhibit & Sale
    Randolph Art League
Description: Local artists exhibit original art, fine crafts and pottery in an outdoor setting in front of the Alamo. Many of the artists are military, as the group was started at Randolph Air Force Base.

    San Antonio Parks Foundation
Description: Live entertainment on five stages feature folkloric dancers, Tejano Conjunto, Latin, Jazz and country-western music. Forty food booths include traditional Mexican cuisine, turkey legs, hamburgers, roasted corn and funnel cakes. Family friendly.

Fiesta SA: A Taste of New Orleans

Description: Family Friendly Food and Fun Festival with specialty music. Fiesta Arts Fair
    Southwest School of Art & Craft
Description: Celebrating 35 years of creativity, the Fiesta Arts Fair at the Southwest School of Art & Craft is an official “kick-off event” for the renowned Fiesta® San Antonio – 10 days of merriment, pageantry, parties and parades, bringing thousands of visitors to the Alamo City every in April.

In February 2008, San Antonio's own Fiesta Arts Fair was named one of America's Top Ten Art Fairs and Festivals (coming in at #7, to be exact) by the national magazine, American Style.

The 2-day Fiesta Arts Fair is a family-friendly occasion, featuring 120 top artists, live music, a Children’s Art Garden and, as with all true Fiesta events, good food.

Fiesta SA: Fiesta Mission 10K and Kids’ Runs
    San Antonio Roadrunners
Description: Each race begins and ends in scenic Mission County Park. The route follows the San Antonio River past the Spanish missions of Concepción and San José. Awards for kids, men and women in age groups from 14 to 70-plus years. A party follows the runs.
Tickets: Advance registration $18. Race day registration is $20 and begins at 7 a.m. Free to spectators.

Fiesta SA: Texas Cavaliers River Parade
    SA Events Calendar
Description: Hundreds of thousands of people line the banks of the San Antonio River to view the parade where floats really float. More than 40 decorated floats with live music drift down the river. King Antonio reigns over the festivities. The Texas Cavaliers Charitable Foundation disburses funds to various charitable organizations.

Fiesta SA: Coronation of the Queen
    The Order of the Alamo
Description: A symphony orchestra performs as duchesses in elaborate dresses and bejeweled trains make their court bows. Following the presentation of Her Royal Highness and the Coronation of Her Gracious Majesty, entertainment is presented to the royalty and the audience. The Order of the Alamo chose its first Queen in 1909.

    Beethoven Maennerchor
Description: Join the Beethoven Maennerchor and celebrate Fiesta German-style. The Maennerchor is the oldest active singing society in Texas. Enjoy the lively Biergarten (seating for 800-850) with it’s sounds of German entertainment and Gemuetlichkeit. Enjoy German food and beverages, entertainment by the 50-piece concert band, and dance until midnight. King Antonio’s official visit is Thursday evening. Kid friendly.

    Battle of Flowers® Association
Description: The parade started in 1891 and is recognized as the founding event of Fiesta® San Antonio. ROTC units march as the vanguard. The colorful parade features splendid cavalcades, bands, flying flags, spectacular floats carrying costumed Fiesta royalty, flower-bedecked antique cars and carriages, and giant helium balloons.

Fiesta SA: Fiesta Flambeau® Parade & Vanguard
    Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association
Description: The Flambeau is the largest illuminated night parade in the nation. Produced by volunteers, it is viewed by some 700,000 people along the streets and another 1.5 million on TV. The University of Texas Longhorn Band leads the parade of spectacular floats, precision marching units, equestrian groups and musical units.
