Art Exhibition: This is Only a Test
    BSC and Trinity University
Description: Sara Cardona uses the analog process of cut-and-paste collage in the tradition of Dada assemblage and a nod to the editing process of film. The images created are generated by imagining the exchange of commodities across the global south and the intersection of language and objects associated with soft power.

    Blue Star Contemporary
Description: Museum Month celebrates the museums and cultural institutions of San Antonio. This collaboration offers free general admission for two to museum members of any participating organizations, as well as to their employees.
Tickets: BSC members receive free general admission for two to participating museums. October is a great month to sign up for a membership to help support your local arts community!

Art Exhibition: Gesamtkunstwerk
    Blue Star Contemporary
Description: Jesse Amado's installation reflects his varied experiences while in residency at Kunstlerhaus Bethanian as a Blue Star Contemporary Berlin Resident artist. The work is entitled Gesamtkunstwerk, a German term which describes a total work of art that synthesizes many different modes, ideas, images, and styles, very much like Berlin itself.
Tickets: Opening is free and open to the public. General admission for regular hours is $5, $3 for seniors, and free for students, teachers, first responders, and military with I.D. BSC is also free on Thursday evenings from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Description: Sylvie Blocher's Color of Confusion was produced through a collaboration with the artist and the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA). The production was directed by David S. Rubin, Independent Curator and former Brown Foundation Curator of Contemporary Art at SAMA.
